Lots of fun things to do in my beautiful Saugerties nestled in the Catskills on the Hudson.
Start off your morning with a short hike to the historical Saugerties Lighthouse & check out the wildlife ( I saw Sammy the seal & lots of eagles )
( IMP ! HIKE during LOW TIDE ONLY !)
Then a huge inexpensive breakfast at the Village Diner where the locals eat & laugh with their entertaining waitresses.
In Summer, a dip at the Saugerties Beach overlooking our red bridge, then stop at Krauses yummy homemade chocolate, lunch on the veranda at Diamond Mill hotel & the WATERFALLS
Then up the hill into town to see the art galleries, antique shops, cool old book stores or a movie at the Orpheum.
Later live music somewhere & great pizza
There’s lots of community events, parades, watch horses at HITS
I love my hometown, super low crime, nice people and helpful.
We’re only less than 1/2 hour away from Woodstock, Rhinebeck, Hunter mountain or the lively Olana Art Mansion in Hudson, too.

Saugerties carries out lots of events to bring communities closer such as Christmas in the village, Garlic Fest, First Fridays, and much more. Community togetherness is very important to the town.
