In Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, a player can conquer kingdoms and rule most of the territory, but technically, they're not a king. Well, they're not king yet. But they can become one; all they have to do is marry a princess. Luckily, there's no shortage of bachelorettes in 's mockup of Europe and Eurasia.

The best part is that they're not just pretty; they're also pretty strong. These are not the regular damsel wives one finds in medieval depictions. They have their own stats to contribute to the player's kingdom. At least, that's the criteria that players ought to pick as wife material in Bannerlord. To minimize the search for a blushing and fighting bride-to-be, these are the best wives in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord.

- Country of origin: Vlandia
For a wife who's good at a bit of everything, Silvind who's a vassal of Vlandia makes for a decent partner. Players can even take her into combat if they want as she's good at melee and holding her own ground against most enemies.
Definitely don't leave her in a province to sort out finances as she's not very wise at spending habits. But in the heat of battle and for players looking for a proper shieldmaiden wife, then Silvind is a pretty good candidate. A lot of players find her as a default wife if they start out in Vlandia.

- Country of origin: Khuzait
For players looking for another shieldmaiden, except they find themselves in Khuzait, then Abagai is a good choice. She's similar to Silvind; Abagai doesn't handle matters of medieval statecraft decently, but put any weapon in her hands and she'll win fights.

Hence, Abagai might just be the perfect wife for those in Khuzait looking to expand quickly and steamroll the western territories. Abagai also won't mind if players are not that honorable, so those who have dipped their hands in banditry will find her accepting.

Arwa is a different breed of war maiden compared to the two before her. Because as far as cavalier wives go, Arwa is next to none in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. She's one of the few wives in the game who's excellent at horse riding.
Pair that with her exceptional Polearm skills or just about any other melee weapon, then players might just find their top warrior in the form of Arwa. As usual, she's made for the battlefield. It's best not to leave her in towns or cities to manage stately affairs.

- Country of origin: Vlandia
Liena is another solid choice for players starting out in Vlandia. She's not as bull-headed as Silvind and can manage on her own when left on a throne as a steward. Moreover, players can rely on her to handle financial affairs decently.

The best part is that Liena doesn't sacrifice her combat prowess in order to be decent at statecraft. She's a well-rounded wife and players can take her just about anywhere they go. She also has a less rough personality than Silvind, if personality is important for players.

Svana might not have some exceptional combat stats compared to the certified combatants in the previous selections, but she has one glaring advantage: she's tall. That doesn't really matter much in the grand scheme of things, but players looking for a big barbarian wife might find her embrace the warmest.
Besides, think of the mighty children Svana can produce. They'll all have the potential to be NBA players after several hundreds of years. That matters more in roleplaying than in actual gameplay usefulness.

- Country of origin: Battania
She might be one of the smallest bachelorettes in the game, but anyone who underestimates Corein in combat will not live to regret it. She's only one of the best combatant wives in the game with her melee weapon skills all nearly maxed out.

This makes Corein an ideal frontline in a skirmish. If players do decide that they want to keep her a bit safer, Corein's not bad as an archer as well. This little Honey Badger wife is also intent on keeping herself on the frontlines as she has no statecraft skills whatsoever.
2 Nadea

- Country of origin: Western Empire
Speaking of turning a wife into a female version of Legolas, Nadea is likely the best candidate. She's a well-rounded wife with a nice distribution of skillsets, but she excels the most in archery. Coupled with her good horse riding skills, Nadea is a great mounted archer.
That should very much keep her safe in combat— safer than most other wives who prefer to fight in melee, of course. Her origin country is also an added bonus as it puts players in a good spot in the Western Empire.

But of course, if players really want the fiercest but still feminine warrior they can have as a wife in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, then all roads lead to Siga. She's a monster. At least when compared to the other warrior wives.
She's the most athletic, and the most combat proficient wife in the game. It does seem that Siga has nothing else to talk about other than stabbing someone or killing them, because she certainly lags behind in other, non-violent skills. Also, be careful not to disagree with her; she prefers to use swords instead of words.
Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is available for PC as an early access title.
